11 Jan Website Overhaul

The website will be changing slightly as I migrate from a gallery style focus to reflect my current portfolio which now consists less of static images. Stick with me as I am doing this – sometimes I will make a few live changes but more often than not I will pop into maintenance. It’s just me tinkering to find the best reflection of new work.

Since my son left primary last year and my daughter graduated university, (both these things happened on my birthday!), I have experienced a gradual depression – reactionary of course – but one I have been fighting against with everything in my toolbox. We had an emotional and bittersweet term and we lost some dear things. As it came to an end I struggled to manage it. I channel emotion into what I am making so that I don’t implode. As a result more work has appeared – I created a completely new building theme for example – but I am doing a lot of inner stuff on myself and the future of my family away from screens and socials. Because I work with computers my primary downtime is outside in nature. I will be outside more. But there is also a pressure to perform on social media for promotion, sales, visibility. – and I don’t want this in my life.

So there will be more focus on the website, super focus on product development and upgrade of skillset. But I will also become less connected. Hopefully soon the website will be a better reflection of what I am producing and learning!
